THE SCIENCE OF LIFE

The whole person.
At the heart.

Ayurveda is a traditional teaching from India that looks at food, movement, rest and lifestyle as a whole.

An ancient tradition. A personal path.

The word Ayurveda is often translated as “knowledge of life”. In this tradition, a person is seen as a whole: with their way of life, their surroundings and their individual needs.

Food, treatments, yoga, meditation and daily routines are all part of the Ayurvedic understanding. A journey offers space to get to know this tradition and to gain some distance from everyday life.

What do Vata, Pitta and Kapha mean?

In Ayurvedic teaching, the three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha stand for different principles. They serve as a model to describe individual characteristics and routines. Dosha theory is a traditional explanatory model and not a diagnosis in conventional medicine.

What can you expect during a cure?

Your cure begins with a consultation with the team on site. On this basis, the programme, treatments and food are agreed with you. Yoga, meditation and time to rest complete many of the offers.

What a cure is like in practice – from the first consultation to the daily rhythm at the resort – Beate describes in our guide “What really awaits you on an Ayurveda cure”. Also: how to recognise a good Ayurveda resort and an Ayurveda cure in Germany – a real alternative?

Making decisions with good support

Which treatments are suitable for you is a medical question. Please discuss existing illnesses, medication and possible risks with your doctors beforehand. An Ayurveda journey does not replace necessary medical care; we make no promises of healing.
